Incoming Students: Fall of 2008-2009

Third Grade Supply List for Robert A Black

• three wide ruled notebooks (one blue, one red, one green)
  
• two folders
  
• two packages wide ruled paper
  
• 2 glue sticks (please NO WHITE GLUE, it often ends up leaking in desks)
  
• #2 pencils (at least 20)
  
• two non-erasable red pens (for going over homework)
  
• pencil sharpener (MUST have a housing to catch shavings!)
  
• two boxes of Kleenex
  
• roll of paper towels
  
• supply bag or box
  
• package baby wipes (for cleaning hands and faces after birthday/holiday treats)
  
• package disinfectant wipes (to keep desks germ-free so students miss as few days as possible)
  
• two containers of hand sanitizer
  
• 24 or 48 pack of crayons (please DO NOT BRING markers or colored pencils, the desks are small and we do not have the room)
  
• silent reading book – students are required to have at least one book to read in their desks at all times (this is so that if they complete an assignment quickly they have something to do at their desks that does not distract the students around them, they may also bring a math activity book if they would like).
  
• a package of computer paper
  
• Girls – bring a package of band-aids and a package of sandwich sized zip bags
  
• Boys – bring hand soap and a package of gallon sized zip bags

Third Grade Teachers

Discipline Plan for Rooms 204 & 207

• Follow directions the first time they are given.
  
• Raise your hand and wait for directions to speak.
• Stay in your seat unless you have permission to do otherwise.
  
• Keep hands, feet, and objects to yourself.
  
• No cursing or teasing.

If students choose to break a rule.

First time:	lose a smile, warning
Second time:	lose two smiles and get a note sent home
Third time:	lose all smiles and a misconduct report is sent home

Severe Disruptions:  Student will be sent to the office immediately.

Students start over with three smiles each day.

Rewards

When students earn four or more smiles they get a positive note home.  They also get a sticker/stamp on the chart for the class.  At the end of each month the top half of Mrs. Colligan and Mr. Guyon’s classes will receive a surprise of some sort.
